I had quite a chaotic day today. get this: wake up, quiet time, mix a shake for myself, biology, chem, biology laaaaaaaaaaab... 25 min of working out chemistry problems on the floor of the building of my next class. i stay long enough to see a guy with a pixie cut and bleached bangs sip coffee and talk about how he knows "music crap" cuz he was in band. walk into my next class music of the world. sit thru a lecture about polyphonic and monophonic and homophonic stuffs. learn about what a celesta is and a harpsichord. easy stuff yeah. run out the door and into the windy cold to the student computing center to meet my chem group. work on chemistry some more since i havent yet and its all due monday for the four of us. after accessing that the way to acheive maximum efficiency (perpetual motion device) the entropy of the cold sink (universe) must not change at all during a reaction, we wondered... what would happen if matter reached absolute zero? for u see if the cold sink reaches absolute zero then you get no entropy. but that means electrons cease to move about the nucleus. so what would that mean? where do the electrons go? would this cause a tear in the spacetime continuum? *creepy violin sounds* then i booked it to Lechner. spent 30 min deciding whether i was hungry and decided i wasnt. wandered around looking for souls to go to Catholic Apologetics with me for i fear walking Northgate at 7.45pm alone. Ended up walking back with two of my favorite (i have many favorites) Catholic gentlemen--one of which i found out today is not Catholic, yet about as devout as one. Said convert accompanied me to dinner at Rumour's Deli for a pleasant talk and snack of sustenance, ie hot wraps and cookies. We checked our PO boxes b4 hand and i found a bill in mine dang it. So he's going to law school and teaches debate teams at UCLA. He's in my year yes. Decided 2 yr ago he'd convert to Catholicism. I love converts, they are so fresh and appreciative. If only you knew the feeling... Played flute and wasted 1 hr exactly. Then i started to maybe tackle my calculus.. didnt work so well. so i sought help and my help was already helping another classmate in Calc II while i was struggling with LIMIT PROOFS in Calc I. Well i located a solutions manual to the book and im doing just dandy. i now understand what the definition of a limit is and how to express the answer in mathematical terms such as epselom, delta, | x- a| < delta..... | f(x) - L|< epselom. www.xkcd.com look up the most current comic. its hilarious. most of these are math/compsci/physics/chem nerdy type things. a few random ones about hamster balls and guitar hero lastly... while i was wasting time earlier i actually made use of it by swabbing a) bathroom light switch b) purelled surface c) my listerined gums d) guitar hero guitar at the strummer thing e) bathroom light switch after its been disinfected w/a chlorox wipe and f) the surface of my cell phone. >> which do u think will be the most creepy looking? mk in 3 min ill be out like a candel. less than three |
